The Anritsu MS2089A Site Master Handheld Cable & Antenna Analyzer, offered and supported by Avalon Test Equipment, is engineered for the demanding field environment of wireless installation, maintenance, DAS, broadcast and telecom infrastructure. It combines cable & antenna analysis (reflection, RL/VSWR, distance-to-fault) with spectrum analysis and optional vector network analysis, all in a rugged, portable instrument. With support for modern technologies like LTE, 5GNR, real-time spectrum analysis (RTSA) and interference detection, the MS2089A helps operators and technicians identify, locate and resolve faults faster, reducing downtime and improving network quality.

Key Features:

  • Cable & antenna analysis: reflection measurements (return loss, VSWR, cable loss), 1-port phase, Smith chart, DTF/VSWR distance-to-fault.

  • Spectrum analyzer capability: up to 9 kHz to 4/6 GHz depending on configuration, DANL down to ~-167 dBm with pre-amp, phase noise around -123 dBc/Hz typical.

  • Ultra-fast sweep speeds: ~350 µs/data point for the cable & antenna analyzer path (fast sweep mode) for rapid fault location.

  • Large high-resolution 10-inch capacitive touchscreen display, ergonomic for field use.

  • Lightweight and portable: Less than ~8.5 lb for the 6 GHz configuration – suitable for one-person deployment.

  • Built-in PDF/HTML report generation and support for remote tools (Ethernet/WiFi/USB) for efficient documentation of faults.

  • Modular feature upgrades: optional vector network analyzer (VNA) mode, time-domain reflectometry (TDR), interference finder, IQ capture/streaming, 5G NR FDD/TDD analyzer, GNSS, coverage mapping.

  • Designed for harsh environments: rugged build, integrated bumpers, suitable for field technicians working on towers, DAS, broadcast sites and outdoor networks.

  • Supported by Avalon Test Equipment with sales, calibration, rental and service support for field-ready deployment.

  • Model: MS2089A Site Master

  • Cable & Antenna Analyzer Frequency Range: 5 kHz up to 4 GHz or up to 6 GHz depending on option.

  • Spectrum Analyzer Frequency Range: 9 kHz up to 4 GHz or 9 kHz up to 6 GHz depending on option.

  • Sweep Speed (CAA path fast): ~350 µs per data point (typical) for cable & antenna analyzer sweeps.

  • Dynamic Range: >100 dB transmission dynamic range for VNA option; for spectrum path >106 dB dynamic range minimum at 2.4 GHz.

  • Noise Floor (Spectrum): DANL ~-167 dBm with pre-amp on (typical) for the spectrum path.

  • Display: 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen (1280 × 800 resolution) per fact sheet.

  • Weight: Less than ~8.5 lb for MS2089A-0706/0806 configuration.

  • Dimensions: Approximately 11.4 in × 8.3 in × 3.7 in (290 mm × 212 mm × 96 mm) per fact sheet.

  • Battery Life: Up to ~9 hours operation (depending on option).

  • Standard Connectors: RF In Type N(f), 50 Ω; Port 2 RF In Type N(f), 50 Ω (with certain options)

  • Other Features: Built-in PDF/HTML report generator, Ethernet/WiFi/USB interfaces for remote control and documentation.
