The Dranetz HDPQ Xplorer Power Quality Analyzer is a portable power quality, demand and energy analysis tool that features 4 differential 50/60 Hz AC/DC voltage channels. Dranetz HDPQ Xplorer units also operate over a 400 Hz frequency range for military, aerospace and nautical applications in the form of the Xplorer-400 model. The HDPQ Xplorer is designed for testing 1000V CAT III cables and 600V CAT IV cables while adhering to IEC 61000-4-30 and EN50160 standards, as well as IEEE 1159, 519, 1453 and 1459.
Technicians and electricians rent the Xplorer to measure dips, swells, transients, unbalances, harmonics, flickers, and more. Dranetz Xplorer units measure transients by means of peak, waveshape, rms difference and adaptive high-speed sampling, along with power calculations to accurately characterize harmonics, non-sinusoidal and unbalanced systems. A high-speed transient data capture of 1µ per channel allows the 8-channel HDPQ to record every power quality event with precision.
The Dranetz HDPQ Xplorer’s interface is as simple to operate as it is sophisticated, displaying results on a 7-inch wide touchscreen LCD. The Intelligent AnswerModule analysis feature offers guidance on sag directivity, capacitor switching transient identification and motor diagnostics. Users can review measurements and adjust settings from their phone, tablet or PC with either a free VNC or Dran-View 7 software.
