The Com-Power model PAM-103 Preamplifier is intended for improving measurement system sensitivity during EMC compliance testing. It has a frequency range of 1MHz to 1GHz with gain of 33dB. It amplifies signals hidden below the noise floor of EMI receivers so that it can be seen and measured. The PAM-103 has a gain variation of ±3dB for the entire frequency range to reduce measurement errors. It can be powered by the included rechargeable NimH batteries when an external power source is not available.
