The included lightweight work tray is designed for immediate use straight out of the carrying case and offers an integrated cooling tray and removable waste bin. It supports both FC-6+ and FC-8R cleavers, includes metal plates for fiber holder stability, and provides tool cutouts to keep essential items organized and within reach. It can be operated using straps, mounted on a tripod, or directly within the case for field flexibility.
Hot Core Analyzing technology ensures accurate estimated splice loss by capturing high-resolution fiber imagery during fusion. The Q502S is also the first fusion splicer to offer automatic MMF/SMF fiber type detection, eliminating user error when selecting splice programs.
With SumiCloud™ wireless connectivity, the Q502S allows remote firmware updates, cloud-based reporting, preventive maintenance notifications, and remote locking via a web interface—enhancing fleet management and field visibility.
